Make a "QUOTE" Challenge

As a man it is my wish to positively impact someone's life by certain words or a quote of wisdom that maybe I was known for saying often.  Something to impact a persons thoughts and inspires a healthy habit in their lives each time they think of it.  An example would be something my Uncle told me as I was preparing to go into the Army many years ago. He said: "In the windstorm do not be like a oak tree branch and crack....be like a blade of grass and bend! "  I have never forgot those words.  When life gets stressful we sometimes crack.  Instead... like the blade of grass.... let us bend and bounce back up even though its windy. I am challenging you all.  Kids & Parents to create or write down your favorite quote that you enjoy.  Please share your quote on as a comment on the blog!  Lets see what beautiful wisdom we can be blessed with!  Here is one I created about a year or two ago.  It helps me to work on myself daily and fo...

Story: Value of Money VS Our Value

Dirty Money The Story: A well-respected speaker began a seminar by showing an audience of 150 people a crisp $20 bill. He asked, “Who wants this $20 bill?” All 150 people nodded. He said, “I am going to give this money to someone, but first….” Then he proceeded to crumple the bill up. He asked the crowd again if anyone wanted it. All 150 hands went up in the air. The speaker then dropped the money on the floor and stomped all over it. He then raised it in the air to show the crowd. The money was filthy. “Does anyone want it now?” Every hand went up. The speaker proceeded to tell the crowd that no matter what he did to ruin the money, people still wanted it because its value remained the same. It was still worth $20. The Moral: Life often beats us up to the point where we feel inadequate. We deal with bad circumstances and make bad choices that we have to deal with later. However, no matter what you go through, your value will remain the same. You have something special to offer th...

There isn't a path or formula to follow!

Here's another myth perpetuated by the general public: there isn't a set formula for a successful and happy life.   What works for someone else might not work for you, and there isn't an obstacle that you can't find away around or over or under.  Sometimes the most beautiful and important life moments start out as unexpected obstacles.  So while it's certainly important to plan and dream...  it's also important to be flexible an resilient.  Take this story as an example: The Obstacle in Our Path In ancient times, a king had a boulder placed on the roadway.  Then he hid himself and watched to see if anyone would remove the huge rock.  Some of the king's wealthiest merchants came by and simply walked around it.  Many loudly blamed the king for not keeping the roads clear, but none of them tried to move the big stone out of the way.  Then a peasant farmer came along carrying a load of vegetables.  On approaching the boulder, the ...
