Sweet Dreams Story

 Sweet Dreams

The Story:

A young boy and girl were enjoying a pleasant afternoon playing outside in their neighborhood together. The boy showed the girl his collection of beautiful, unique marbles. In turn, the girl showed the boy the handful of candy that she had just gotten for her birthday.

The boy proposed that the two of them switch–he would give her all of his marbles if she handed over all of her candy. The girl agreed, as she found the marbles to be beautiful as well.

The boy handed over all of his marbles, but kept one–the most exquisite one of them all–in his pocket. The girl kept her promise and gave the boy all of her candy.

You have to be a participating factor in your relationship if you want it to be built on trust.

That night, the girl was happy with the exchange and peacefully went to sleep.

The boy, however, couldn’t sleep, as he was up wondering if the girl had secretly kept some of her candy, just like he did with the marble.

The Moral:

If you don’t give 100% in your relationships, you will always assume your partner isn’t giving 100% either. If you want your relationships to be built on trust, you have to be a participating factor in that.

How To Find Inner Peace In Everyday Life

How to Find Your Inner Peace and Happiness Like many other concepts, there is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to finding inner peace. However, all of the points provided here would prove effective in your journey to finding it. Use these steps to find inner peace: 1. Declutter Your “Room” As mentioned earlier, your mind can be likened to a room. When that room is occupied with thoughts of “what if” and “how not” plus work issues and family matters, there is no way you’d have enough space to do other things. This would take lots of practice and patience with oneself because you can’t just tell yourself, “Hey, stop thinking” and boom! You just stop. You have to consciously remind yourself to not overthink things and only take what you can handle. Even the bravest people break down, so take some time to clear your mind of unimportant matters. You need that space. 2. Take Responsibility for Your Actions It takes a whole level of maturity to take responsibility for your actions, es...

There isn't a path or formula to follow!

Here's another myth perpetuated by the general public: there isn't a set formula for a successful and happy life.   What works for someone else might not work for you, and there isn't an obstacle that you can't find away around or over or under.  Sometimes the most beautiful and important life moments start out as unexpected obstacles.  So while it's certainly important to plan and dream...  it's also important to be flexible an resilient.  Take this story as an example: The Obstacle in Our Path In ancient times, a king had a boulder placed on the roadway.  Then he hid himself and watched to see if anyone would remove the huge rock.  Some of the king's wealthiest merchants came by and simply walked around it.  Many loudly blamed the king for not keeping the roads clear, but none of them tried to move the big stone out of the way.  Then a peasant farmer came along carrying a load of vegetables.  On approaching the boulder, the ...

Why Is Inner Peace Important?

Inner peace is important for the following reasons: You begin to see and appreciate all the little things you never thought were important like the ability to walk, eat, breathe, having a roof over your head and even the sun that never fails to rise. It teaches you to be patient because, at the end of the day, we’d all be on the same day. Nobody has ever hurried into the next day. You learn how to maximize every single moment knowing fully well that we would all leave this world someday. It teaches you to take things one step at a time. We all tell ourselves that phrase especially when we find ourselves in a mess but we never really actualize it until we find inner peace. You would begin to see drastic changes in your health and wellness. Food and alcohol are no longer an escape route because you realize that there is really no escape from this life. Your relationships and friendships take a positive turn because you have learned to appreciate every moment you have with th...
